For the First Time in Many Years, Thursday, January 16th, 2003;
Middle Tennessee had a Real 'Old Timey' Snowfall...
One like those we Used to build Snowmen with When We Were Young and Filled with Innocence;
and When We Would Lay On the Ground and make 'Snow Angels' and Never Notice the Cold!!
A 'Record' Snowfall the Weather Men say;
First Snowfall of the Century, and Over Seven Inches Today!
Perhaps We Are Not All Still Young and Filled with the Same Innocence;
and We Feel the Cold Now Just Watching Our Grand Kids Play In It!
We Enjoy the Snow's Beauty from Inside as we warm our cold toes;
and We Watch Mother Nature Create a Winter Wonderland Thru our Windows!
But Even tho we may not Lie in the Snow to Make Angels today;
Does Not Mean we don't Still See the Beauty of the Angels in The Snow in a Whole Different Way!
As I sat at my desk and looked out the window at the New Falling Snow;
I Felt the Presence or People and Memories from Long Long Ago.
As the Snow Covered the Landscape and Outlined the Trees;
I jumped like a Child and Flew like a Breeze!
To get my new camera and to the back door I ran;
To take pictures of the Snow as it covered the Land!
With Thoughts of My Loved Ones both Present and Past;
and to Take Pictures of the Concrete Angel Where I Enjoyed My Mama Last
!
With a Tear in my Eye and a Smile on my Face;
I Watched the Snow Cover the Angel that Marks Our Special Place!
No I don't Lie on the Ground and make Snow Angels any more;
But I Know One Glorious Day a Snow Angel Awaits Me at God's Golden Door!!!
I would like to share MY Snow Angel with you and hope You enjoy the Beauty of the Fresh Falling Snow as I Have Today; along with the Flood of old Memories that came as I Watched the Angel outside My Back Door being Covered by the
Old Timey Snow Fall...
